Tango Salon is a Wednesday night milonga in Frankfurt at a place called Academia de Tango. It is a tango school with a window facing the street, but you go through the adjoining Argentine Cafe to get in for the milonga.
This event isn’t as big as Milonga am Zoo the previous night. I’d guess there were probably 30-40 people. The atmosphere of the adjoining restaurant makes for a nice and relaxed environment for week night of tango. It had a casual and friendly vibe, starting with the person at the door. I was leaving Europe the next morning, and since I was trying to use of the rest of my cash in Euros I discovered that I was a slightly short of the posted admission price. But the guy at the door didn’t mind and let me in anyway.
Since it’s a dance studio the floor is really great. The shape of the room is a little unusual. It seems maybe twice as long as it is wide and there are a couple columns in the middle of the floor aronud which everyone dances. I didn’t have any trouble getting dances. The dancing level seemed pretty similar to what I encountered at am Zoo.

Not a great night, but good enough for me to get my last oxytocin fix in Germany before I go back home in the morning.
